Dutch Babes

We headed to our neighbors tulips the other night in lieu of heading downtown to snap some pics of the kids in their costumes. We'll be downtown next week so we'll get some in the park hopefully too. The kids had fun getting dressed up, and especially liked sporting their wooden shoes.

Kolter thought he was big stuff walking around in his wooden shoes. Considering that he doesn't walk all that well with regular shoes we were surprised at how well he was doing.
Concentrating hard..

Little Dutch Boy..

She has two costumes so, of course, we had to play dress up and try on both. She had fun twirling around as the shirts poof out nice. I think she wore a costume most of the day.

He wasn't a fan of the hat. He'd rip it off as fast as I could get it back on.
I thought a tulip would distract him from the hat, but it didn't. Kennedy picked our one and only tulip. We had to have a little lesson in tulip picking. If she had done this downtown we wouldn't be laughing.

Too cute!! Ella bought one of Layla's because Layla ended up with two (and Joe didn't think she needed two:-D) and the one that Ella has now is a Volendam like one of Kennedy's. You guys should get a pic of them both in their costumes together!!
