Oh Babies..

It seems like so many I know are expecting or have recently had babies. (most of which have also been or will be baby girls) It's sort of fun that it worked out this way so our children can grow up together and hopefully have some life long buddies. This morning we got the call that my friend Tracy had her baby. Congrats, Terry and Tracy, on the birth of Elise Lauren. (I'm assuming that's how you are spelling it) They funny thing about Tracy and I is that we both were expecting our third babies and that with our first two children the genders were exactly the same not to mention the kids are all really close in age. On a side note, we have found out the gender of each of ours ,whereas Terry and Tracy have waited for the surprise with each. So, as you can imagine with each of Tracy's pregnancies we've eagerly awaited knowing the gender. It's been so much fun watching the kids grow and become friends over the past 3 years. I was sort of hoping they'd have a boy this time, as that's what we're having, but God had other plans for them or other plans for us. (depending upon how you look at it I guess) Anyway, now we'll get the joy of having our third babies still close in age yet different genders for a change. Plus, I guess it would've been somewhat crazy if we would've had all 6 babes in exactly the same fashion. It'll be interesting to see what of my other friends, whose children also fall into the same gender patterns, end up having when it comes time for them to have their third. For now we're just excited for Terry and Tracy, and all you others who are expecting, not to forget our own upcoming baby. Only 6 weeks to go... the countdown isn't far off.

LOST

Yes, I'm talking about the tv show. After last night's episode we are now even more LOST than ever. We did very much enjoy last nights episode we're just puzzled and left with even more unanswerable questions. I guess that's how it is pretty each and every week with that show and yet we come back each and every week only to be confused a little more. I honestly don't think we'll ever figure it out until the day the show airs it's last. Until then I guess we'll just remain LOST...

Projects

Today was project bathroom and tomorrow begins project drywall. Bryan hung it but we're having a pro come in to finish it because it's a not so fun job. Anyway, things are progressing nicely here. For those unaware we are finishing the last two rooms of our basement. How weird that soon the interior of our home will be completely finished. Our goal is pre-baby but if it doesn't happen it's no biggie. I figure the baby will be rooming with us for the first month or so anyway. The challenge may come into play when we move the other two downstairs. We're going to make it super fun so hopefully it goes smooth when the transition does happen. I hoping soon I'll be able to post some pics of what's going on. I love how the bathroom turned out so thanks Davis. You're a top notch painter. Now I just need to get all the accessories and such and it'll be finished. Guess we should wait a day or two until the paint is dry before tackling that.

Oh what to write..

So like now that we have this blog I feel compelled to sit down and share something even though, at the moment, there's not much to share. Both kids are down for nap time, so that's awesome. It's the point in my day where I get some 'me' time. Typically this is when I should be working out but #3 doesn't really enjoy it when I work out these days. Well, that's me assuming that's what he's feeling because every time I get on the treadmill and get going I end up having contraction on top of contraction and after a few they get old, not to mention uncomfortable, quite quick. The good news is that we only have about 7 more weeks until the little man makes his presence into this world. Not sure then how I'm going to have time to do much of anything at first. Hopefully it won't take us long to get in a groove.... how much work could one more be, really? Well, I guess we'll end it on that note. We don't have a whole lot planned for the weekend. I am going out tomorrow night on a 'girls night out' so I'm very much looking forward to that. Bryan will be home with both kids so that will be some good qt for the three them as well.

Having Some Fun..

Life at our house is just oh so much fun as you can imagine with a 1 1/2 and a 2 1/2 year old. If the kids aren't chasing BIG LION, that's Bryan on all fours running wild through our house, then Kennedy is either dancing and dressing up and Kooper's undressing and pretending to be Uncle Brad. (minus the undressing part because we have yet to see that side of Brad when he's playing his guitar) None the less our kids sure have energy and love to have fun no matter what they are doing. To put it mildly they keep us on our toes. We rest when they are either napping or down for the night. Oh to have the energy they do... if only we could bottle it up and partake when need be.

Our 1st Family Blog- Woo hoo!

So I decided that we needed to have a family blog so all whom desire, maybe there won't be many, can keep up to date on what's going on with us. Boy is it a lot of work getting a blog set up. I think it'll take a long while before all is perfected. For now what we have is a start. I'm hoping we can keep this updated. Bryan still has his blog, with limited time to sit down and update, so we'll see if we can do better with this one. I'm thinking we'll do well while I'm on maternity leave, after that well who knows. Until the next post..
