Last week the big yellow bus came and drove away with our brave little girl. WOW was that a tough morning. I managed to keep it together and prayed like mad that she made to school safe and sound. She has to transfer buses, so that's what had me so frazzled. God is good and she made it safe and sound. A few tears once she got to school, but they faded quickly, and she was excited to ride again the following day. The whole bus experience sure makes the school experience all the more real. She's still enjoying getting on the bus but on occasion still has tears, per her teacher, when she gets to school. I think the whole transfer thing is what bothers her since I can't really pinpoint what else it could be. I drove her today to see if that would help, but she started tearing up when I left so that wasn't all that much fun either. I'd rather leave her happy and smiling. Praying every day gets easier and easier. All of this is brand new and such a change from our carefree summer fun. Overall she is loving school. She told our friend the other day that riding the bus and recess were her favorite part of Kindergarten. Really hoping the riding the bus thing gets easier and rings true as a highlight for her. Either way we are very proud of our brave little girl.
Waiting in line with the bus stop kids.
We learned the motion used to get truckers to honk and it's been the new obsession for both Kenz and Koop. :)
