We had such a wonderful 4th of July. We spent the morning and afternoon outside as it was an absolutely beautiful day. Bryan worked downstairs for a bit in the AM and got the boys room all finished up and also installed a battery backup system for our sump pump. We are having all the new carpet installed on 7/18 and then our basement will be back to the way it was before the June flood. Praise God that all worked out well and that pretty much all the damage was fixable. I thank my hubby too for the hours and hours he spent down there repairing things. Anyway, it was a gorgeous day and we just enjoyed our time together as a family. In the evening we headed over to the O'C's for some yummy eats and some fun fellowship. The kids had a blast playing and also making a mess with all the toys. As it was nearing dusk we all headed down to Kollen's park to watch the fireworks. We had planned on meeting up with some more friends who so kindly reserved us a spot, but we weren't able to find them amidst the crowd. I accidentally left my phone in the van so that didn't help matters when trying to pinpoint their location. Thankfully we found a perfect spot and were able to sit and enjoy the lights. Kennedy loved them, Kooper wasn't sure and Kolter slept the entire time. Overall it was a great night. Jason led us out of there, as he's a d-town driving pro, so we were home in a timely fashion too. We didn't have much time to snap pics as it was rather busy all night, but at least we got a couple. The muffs, Kooper wore because he doesn't like loud noises, were a big hit. Emma especially dug them..
