Poncho's Pond Pics

Last weekend we spent camping with some great friends at Poncho's Pond in Ludington and had a fabulous time.
Everything about the weekend was good!
I do have to admit that the campground spoiled us just a bit. Not so sure I want to head to state parks or any other park that isn't full hookup. Boy is that nice! It was our first outing with the new trailer and it was wonderful. That could also be why we felt a tad spoiled. Going from a popup to a trailer was the perfect move for us.
Can't wait for our next camping trip!
The lighthouse at Lundington State Park.

We did all forget our wallets on the 1.8 mile hike to the lighthouse so we weren't able to take the actual tour of it. Just a little side note that you will need cash along if you ever venture to check it out. Water would also be good as we are convinced it was much longer than 1.8 miles one way. It felt like 5, but then again we only had two bottles of water along for like 11 people and it got surprisingly warm that morning.
The walk made for some good memories if nothing else.
All the cute kids..
Fishing was another fun to-do at Poncho's.

Kennedy and her pal Levi.
Levi celebrated his 7th b-day while there.
Wishing Levi a blessed 7th year of life.
We are thankful we were able to celebrate with you!
Like father, like son.. trying for a bite.
I think Matt and the boys were the only ones who were successful at catching anything. Our kids had as much fun playing on the rocks as they did casting into the water. Casting was a big weekend hit, however. Just more so on our lots than into the pond. The kids would have cast-offs to see who could land theirs the furthest. It was good entertainment for them.

Our little tooters all dressed up!
This is when we stopped to check out Hamlin Lake and they thought it'd be fun to go swimming.
Thankfully we can be laid back at times and let them take the plunge without letting it rile us too much. They were already soaked when we gave the ok, so there wasn't a whole lot we could do other than to say, whatever, have fun! We had no change of clothes for them or towels, so we made do with diapers, one dry tee, and a shirt I had over my tank that we pinned up as a dress for Kenz.
I guess having to improvise off the cuff is doable and makes for another fun memory!

Looks like fun!! Looks busy for you though:-). That looks like a nice campground--we're going to Ludington State Park in Sept w/ everyone (B&J&E too). Maybe we should have looked into this place, I like how there's lots of grass--good for the crawlers!! Your fam is too cute!!

Be prepared as the state park is dirty. Well, as dirty as most. Poncho's is wonderful. You feel spoiled there. Either way I'm sure you'll have a blast.
