Sandy Pines

We spent the past 5 days camping at Sandy Pines. We had a great time and were somewhat sad that we had to pack up and head home today. We camped with two other couples and six additional kids. Needless to say we had quite the crew so the kids had a blast together. We were blessed with great weather the entire time and spent most of our days at the pool and water park. The resort is absolutely amazing!! We will definitely camp there again and it's somewhere I'd highly recommend. Since it's SO huge rented golf carts to tool around on. I'm pretty sure the kids enjoyed playing on them as much as they liked taking rides on them. We don't think we even covered the entire park and all that it has to offer as there is just too much to do and to see there. Guess we have that to look forward to next time. Here are a few (more like a lot) pics that highlight some of our time there..
Our happy little camper, Kolter.

Bucket boy!!

Making funnel-cone cakes with Mallory.

Looking cool in mommy's specs.

Bumbo buddies~ Eric and Kolter

Sitting poolside just watching the kids.

Little fish!

Something's funny....

Enjoying the water slide. We had as much fun as the kids on this.

Dirty, silly, Kennedy and precious Mallory

Taylor, Trent, Kenz and Koop getting ready for a golf cart ride

Can you say dirty? Our kids looked pretty much like this the entire time.

DROOL!!!
He got his bottom two teeth while we were camping. I guess that explains the constant drool over the past couple of weeks. :-)

Dirty Little Monkey's Sitting In A Tree

A couple last minute pics of our dirty little tooter's that I snapped before we headed home today. They thought they were big stuff sitting up so high in the tree.

Kolter Scott- 4 months old

Our sweet little peanut is 4 months old already. Where has the time gone? We are having so much fun with him right now! He's such a happy little guy that he's constantly cooing and giggling. We just love hearing all his little noises and constant babble. He's just such a delight! Our hearts overflow. He's taken an interest in reaching and holding onto toys and such within the last couple of weeks so that's been fun for the kids as they feel like they can interact with him. He's even started to grab for his toes which is oh so cute. He's a constant drooler, which I can't say I really much experienced with the other kids. If he doesn't have a bib on his shirt is soaked within no time. I'm ready for that phase to be over, but other than that I'm not wishing any of these precious baby moments away. He goes in for his 4 month well child check up next week so I'll be able to post his stats then. He's really started to chub out so I'm anxious to see how much he's grown over the last two months. We've given him a little taste of cereal over the last couple of days and he seems to somewhat like it. It's always fun watching their face the first time they experience it. (pics of that to come) I'm thinking he'll be gobbling it down within the next couple of weeks. Here are a few pics that I snapped tonight of our sweet baby boy.

I found my foot!

So serious!

Drooling and not so sure I like tummy time in the grass!

Pizza at the Park..

This afternoon we had a play date at the park with Lindsey and Kaitlyn. Kelly, Kaylin, and Will joined us for awhile too. Lindsey was so kind as to grab pizza's on her way over so that we could all enjoy lunch together. We sure had a great time! Today is a gorgeous day so it was perfect for pizza at the park. The kids enjoyed the pizza as well as playing on the playground. They also enjoyed Kaitlyn's dolls and backpacks. Lindsey sure is a thinker as she packed enough for all the girls to have their own. That worked out great and there was no arguing over who got to play with what. Thanks for a fun play date Lindsey and Kaitlyn. It's always fun playing with you.

Kennedy, Kooper, and Kaitlyn relaxing on the picnic table. Their babies were in "time-outs." It was too cute!

My happy little man enjoyed the park as well. He enjoyed the warm weather for awhile and then cashed out in his car seat. It's so nice that he'll sleep pretty much anywhere once it's nap time.

Happy Camper's

On Friday we headed to Holland State Park for a short weekend of camping. We camped with the Rotman clan, Bryan's parents and siblings. Kennedy and Kooper had a blast playing with Reed and Carley. God blessed our weekend with great weather and good fun. Here are a few snapshots that highlight the weekend. We spent most of our time at the playground.

Little chubbs barely squeezed into the stroller. Kennedy loved pushing him.

Kennedy, Carley, Reed, and Kooper stilling still so I could snap a pic.

I thought this was super cute as Kenz and Reed are holding hands.

The little cousins talking about something.

Fun on the slide!

Saucer Sweetie

Since Kole is nearing the 4 month mark I decided to bust out the exersaucer. As you can see he's very much enjoying it. I think it's a nice change of pace. He's been enjoying the mirror and also the fish thing that spins around and around. Before long he'll be loving all the toys and gadgets on it. He's just now starting to reach for things and is showing an interest in toys and such.

Kolter's first swim..

Yesterday we got the pool out and filled up before we headed to church in the morning so it'd be pleasant by the time we were able to use it. We played outside at two points yesterday, before naps and after supper. The water after supper was like bath water so we decided to take Kolter in. We tried it before but I don't think it was quite warm enough as he didn't much enjoy it. He was all about it last night though. The kids were even splashing up a storm and he didn't seem to mind. Here are a few pics that I snapped of our little water baby...

Icecream Break

We took advantage of the beautiful afternoon yesterday and the kids enjoyed their mint chocolate chip cones. The only thing was they didn't want to get out of the pool so they sat nicely and ate their treats in the pool.

Please Pray!

I'm asking that if you take a moment to read this that you take a moment to pray for the Busscher family. Their beautiful baby girl, Grace Kennedy, drowned on Friday night at 18 months old. I don't personally know them, but some friends of ours do, and as a mother my heart hasn't stopped breaking for them since I heard of this tragedy yesterday afternoon. I figure the more people that are praying for them the better. May the Lord give them comfort and hold them tightly throughout this week and the months to come as I cannot even begin to imagine what they are going through.

Silly Me!

On Wednesday afternoon Kennedy and Kooper had dentist appointments. They see Dr. Port of Port Pediatric Dentistry. For those with little tots I highly recommend her. Anyway, we dropped Kolter off at my grandparents and headed to the dentist. I wasn't sure how Kooper would do so I thought not having to also man Kolter would be a tad easier. When we got there the kids played for a bit in the very cool waiting room before they called us back. Once called back they got Kennedy all set up to have x-rays taken. She was such a big girl throughout the whole process and did exactly as the assistant asked. I was so proud of her and began snapping away taking all sorts of adorable pics. The x-rays were so cool because they took some so that we could see how her permanent teeth are going to come in. The top ones look like they are going to come in nice. She has a nice gap in her baby teeth that they said is perfect for allowing the big teeth to come in nicely. Once done with the x-rays we headed to the chair where they'd be polishing her teeth. Once in the chair I decided I'd take some more pics because, again, she looked just adorable laying there so sweetly. At that moment I looked down and realized I hadn't put my card back in the camera so in actuality I hadn't taken even one cute picture. Imagine my disappointment. Silly me! Maybe next time I'll have more luck and remember to put the card in the camera and actually capture some pics. This was their third time there without any pics to show for it. On another note, Kooper sat like a champ and even let Dr. Port polish his teeth. She said that's not typical in boys his age. I was shocked too because he laid there perfect as can be. (another great photo opp as he's not much of a sitter) I think he wanted to be just like sis as she went first and he got to watch as they cleaned her teeth. Both kids teeth checked out just great. She said we're doing an excellent job and to keep it up! I guess the days/nights of making them brush, even when they didn't want us to, paid off. Kennedy picked out an adorable ring and bracelet out of the prize box. Kooper, well, he didn't really care much about the prizes. He was all about playing in the other toy room they have right near where they clean your teeth. :-) All in all it was a great day at the dentist. I wish I enjoyed going to my dentist as much as they seemed to.
