Tagged..

So it appears that I've been tagged.. honestly I didn't think I'd have time to even respond to this but it's looks as if I'm going to give it a go. I'm supposed to share 10 tidbits of info about myself with all of you who check this blog.. I'm going with a love theme just for the heck of it...

I love my daughter Kennedy.. I love her sweet little personality. I love how she talks constantly... I also love to hear her pray out load- it's the sweetest thing.

I love my son Kooper. I love how busy he is and how naughty he can sometimes be. I love that he's a mommy's boy and that we share a special bond. I also love that he's all boy! Having Koop as shown me just how different a girl and boy are.

I love my baby Kolter. I love how sweet he is and how needy he is. I also love how he smiles at me when I talk to him. It melts my heart every time.

I love being a mom. As you can see it's such a joy even on the day's when I think I might loose my mind. I thank God each and every day for the gift of children. I cannot imagine my life without them.

I love the beach. I love sitting in the sand just basking in the sun. I love walking on the shoreline. whether it's a sandy Lake Michigan beach or a Caribbean beach.

I love all-inclusive resorts... need I say more?

I love free-falling from 10,000 feet. Bryan and I went sky diving the summer before we got married. It's a memory I'll treasure forever.

I love camping. I think we camped like every other weekend last summer from July- August. Bryan said that was too much and put his foot down this year. We only have like 4 trips planned. :-)

I love God and I strive to be more like Jesus each and everyday.

And last, but not least, I love my husband, and best friend, Bryan. He is literally the best husband (and father) ever and I'm so very thankful for him.

So there you have it. Ten things I love. I'm supposed to continue the game of tag now and tag someone but all my blogger buddies have been tagged. I'll tag Bryan and if he gets some time maybe he'll share some stuff with you all. If not, well, at least I played the game.

Puppies...

Mom and dad Rotman's (aka grandma and grandpa Josie) Springer Spaniel Josie had pups about 4 weeks ago and on Monday, after the Jamestown parade, we went to see them for the very first time. Kennedy fell in love right away. She loved Princess the most. The other three are Oreo, Tracker, and Babe. Kooper wanted nothing to do with them. He was more concerned about getting the balls out of Papa's barn and playing with those. Here are a few pics of Kenz enjoying the pups. All 4 are for sale if anyone is interested... they sure are super cute!

Lake Michigan Reformed

On Sunday we decided to head out to the State Park for our own family church service and boy was it refreshing and enjoyable. For us, church at VP over the past year has consisted of either sitting in the parent room with one or two kids or helping in the 2&3's class. One of us maybe catches a sermon once a month. Thank goodness we can now be fed online. While we enjoy all that we thought it'd be nice, for a change, to head outdoors and let the kids run free and enjoy God's creation beachfront style. I think they now hope it's a regular thing as they loved running about in the sand and getting their toes wet in the water. (the water was a very chilling 46 degrees) Sunday sure was beautiful and we praise God for allowing us to be outdoors and just bask in His creation....

A Boy And His Boots

So lately all Kooper wants to wear is his cowboy boots... while they are just darling they don't really coordinate well with summer apparel, so it's quite a sight seeing him in the boots especially with shorts. (plus, they were actually Kennedy's boots once upon a time...) It appears that he could care less about coordinating. The first pic is of him getting ready to mow with daddy. He has to wear the muffs because the new mower is rather loud. The second pic is just cute so I threw that in for fun. The third pic is him in his boots when we were out at the lake. We couldn't convince him to just wear sandals. Thankfully we were able to get the boots off him so he could play in the sand. Just thought I'd share so you all get a feel for Kooper's unique style.

Kolter

It's nuts for me to think that our precious baby boy is already 6 weeks old today. Oh how the time is flying on by. It's been fun getting to know him and watching him grow over these past six weeks. He seems to be filling out nicely so it'll be fun to see his stats when we go for his 2 month check up in a couple of weeks. As I've mentioned before Kole is a great baby. He's starting to have longer periods where he's awake more and more but still sleeps the majority of the day. He's not totally sleeping through the night yet although we do get glimpse here and there where he will. Nothing consistent yet though. I can't really complain much as he only gets up once on the nights that he doesn't go all night. Another milestone for Kolter is that he's starting to smile when you talk to him. He's lights up huge when you rub a blanket or burp cloth gently across his chin. Overall Kole is gift and we love him so much. He's been such a blessing to our family and we can't imagine the past 6 weeks without him.

Dutch Babies

Here are a few pics that were taken during Tulip Time, compliments of Jill. We had hoped to capture a nice one of all three but that didn't exactly work out this year. For those of you with small children you'll totally understand. I'm just thankful we got some great individual shots. Thanks again, Jill, you do great work!!

My Brother & Me..

I must be post happy today.. here are a couple pics of the boys. They are just too cute for me not to share. Kooper and Kolter are enjoying their boy time together and since Kooper can't really hold Kole properly he just likes to lay with him in his bed...

Lets Mow

So we splurged a little on Saturday and bought a new lawn mower. This is quite the upgrade as Bryan has been mowing for the past few years with a push mower. With the push mower it had been taking him about 2 hours to mow our yard. Those of you with small children will understand that watching daddy out the window for 2 hours is not a treat for them or for mommy having to explain why they cannot be outside with daddy. Now with the the new mower he can mow with one kid in tow. Kennedy spent the night at my mom's so Kooper was the first to get his turn. He very much enjoyed riding with daddy. He sat super still the entire time. For those who know Kooper you know he doesn't have much sit in him so the new mower is great in that regard. The other great thing is that it only took 45 minutes!!! Mowing the yard will be a lot more fun now for all of us.

Shermie

So this afternoon, while the boys were napping, Kenz and I decided to enjoy the sunshine and do a little weeding in the backyard. Our landscaping was in dire need of weed pulling. Anyway, as we were going along Kenz comes up to me and surprises me with a worm. For a moment I began to freak, as I'm not much for squirmy worms, but I soon reminded myself not to so that she wouldn't become this child scared of bugs and such. She actually loves insects, so we're trying to be pretty cool with that. We had a neighbor boy over who totally freaked when he saw a bug, of sorts, in our basement. Bryan was proud that his 3 year old daughter was cool picking it up and squishing it. So, back to the worm... Kenz took to Shermie right away. She held him the entire hour we were out pulling weeds. She was talking to him like he was her special doll or something. It was the sweetest thing. She also proceeded to ask if he could come inside when we went in. At that point I had to draw the line, so we made a nice little bed for Shermie in a hot pink tupperware cup and he is now sleeping nicely in her playhouse on our deck. Shermie the wormie will be very much loved by Kennedy.

One Month Old Already

It's hard to believe that an entire month has passed already since Kolter's birth. Time is truly just a cruising on by. Kolter has been such a blessing to our family and we give God thanks for him daily. Not a whole lot has changed in one month. He's still a super great baby and still sleeps pretty much 90% of the day/night. It's been fun watching him fill out some over the last month. It'll be exciting when we go for his 2 month checkup to see just how much he's grown. For now we're just enjoying each and every moment with him...

Snuggle With Us

Kennedy and Kooper love to have Kolter lay with them in their beds. Surprisingly he seems to love being sandwiched in between them as he appears super content whenever we lay him by them. He also seems to enjoy it when his big sissy reads to him. Oh the stories she tells... I still need to get that on video as it's way to cute. The imagination that a 3 year old has is amazing. Anyway, here are a few pics of them snuggling with each other.

Our growing boy...

Since I posted a bunch of Kenz and Koop I figured it wasn't nice to leave Kole out, so here are a few pics of our growing boy. He's still tiny but it growing like a weed. You know that's certain when the newborn diapers, that were once big, are getting snug and when clothes begin to fit a little nicer. It's crazy to think that he'll be 4 weeks already on Tuesday. Time is just a flying by. We are very much enjoying the newborn days again. Kolter is truly a gift from God and a wonderful addition to the Rotman clan!

Sticker Fun

So like I said tonight we made cookies and after that was done, while I was cleaning up the kitchen, the kids scurried off to their room to play. After several minutes of quietness ( a rarity at our house) I went to check on them and this is what I walked into....

Apparently Kooper became Kennedy's sticker model as he was covered in them. After a nice laugh I had to, once again, grab the camera. You never know what a 3 and 1 1/2 year old will get into when left alone for a few minutes.

Cookie Time

Tonight the kids and I decided to make some cookies while Bryan was at church so I thought I'd snap a couple of pics of them enjoying the experience. As you can see they very much enjoyed cookie time as well as being covered in cookie dough. Thankfully it's a pretty easy cleanup for all the love that was put into making the treats.
